Ice ( 氷 こおり, Kōri ) panel is a panel that has been frozen solid. In Battle Network 2 and 6, Tornado attacks that hit grass panels deal double damage and turn the panel into a Normal panel. Fire element attacks turn the panel into a Normal panel, dealing double damage in earlier games and additional Fire element damage equal to the original chip's power in later games. Wood-element Viruses and Navis that stand on grass panels heal over time. Grass ( 草 くさむら, Kusamura ) panel is a panel overgrown with grass. Technically, this Panel type does not exist in the Mega Man Star Force series. In the Mega Man Star Force series, although also the panels may be removed at the start of battle, they completely disappear instead of leaving a panel border like in the Mega Man Battle Network series. Some attacks have Breaking qualities that allow them to crack the panels, making them holes when someone steps off them. There are Battle Chips that can change panel types, such as Ice Seed or Lava Seed. In certain battles, some panel types start out changed from a Normal panel. The typical NetBattle field is made with 3圆 panels with no type, but it is not uncommon for the panel type to change during the course of the battle.
